The Muskegon Lumberjacks jumped out to a two-goal lead Friday and held on for a 3-2 victory over Team USA in Ann Arbor.

The Lumberjacks collected a first period goal from Daniel Willett and a second period goal from Chase Hatcher to take a 2-0 lead at the second intermission.

Ryan Hitchcock pulled Team USA within one when he scored six minutes into the third period. But Muskegon’s Janik Moser answered with a goal less than a minute later to put the Lumberjacks up 3-1.

Dylan Larkin scores for Team USA in the final minute, but it was too little too late for the hosts.

Eric Schierhorn stopped 20 of 22 shots to collect the win for Muskegon.
