The Mona Shores Sailor boys basketball team proved Friday night why they are one of the area’s best squads, downing crosstown rival Orchard View 57-26 in non-league hoops action.
The host Sailors (5-2) never trailed the Cardinals (0-6) in the contest.
Mona Shores had a balanced scoring effort, with senior forward Logan Smith leading the way with 10 points, while senior Logan Haugh finished with nine points, and senior guard Marcus Tumblin had eight points.
Sophomore Kobe Burse totaled seven points and eight rebounds for the Sailors, while senior Jamarius Williams dished out six assists in the victory.
