OV girls pull off big win over Lakes 8 rival Spring Lake

Orchard View pulled off a close Lakes 8 conference victory Friday night as they defeated Spring Lake 50-45 in overtime.

The Cardinals (3-2) had a 24-22 lead at halftime and a 34-32 lead after the third quarter.  Orchard View outscored Spring Lake 7-2 in overtime to seal the victory.

Daejia Hill’s 17 points and eight rebounds led Orchard View.  Jayshonna Blackshire had 14 points six rebounds and four assists, while Precious Anderson added 10 points.

Spring Lake (2-4) was led by Reiko Johnson who had 12 points and three steals.  Courtney Kyser had eight points and 9 rebounds.  Kelsee Zuidema led the Lakers in rebounds with 14.
