Quick start helps Hesperia earn CSAA boys basketball win over Chippewa Hills

Hesperia used a fast start in earning a 79-61 CSAA boys basketball win over visiting Chippewa Hills on Friday night.

The Panthers built a 20-8 lead after one quarter and led 26-22 at halftime.

Hesperia pulled away with a 26-17 scoring advantage in the third quarter.

Traxton Gordon led four Hesperia players in double figures with 25 points and six assists.

Nathan McKeown added 19 points and five steals, while Joe Allen scored 10 points as did Joe McKeown.

Brett Salisbury contributed five assists for the Panthers.
