Grand Haven could not get over the hump against Holland West Ottawa in boys hoops on Friday. The Bucs fell 53-47 on the road.

11 players scored in a balanced Grand Haven attack but it wasn’t enough.

Connor Grimes and Noah Lein led Grand Haven with 11 points apiece and Isaak Newhouse added six.

Grand Haven almost turned around a 14-9 first quarter deficit and trailed 23-22 at halftime. Holland West Ottawa responded in the third by taking a 39-32 lead.
