Ludington rallied from a halftime deficit to pull out a 54-50 overtime win over Grant on Monday night in a Lakes 8 boys basketball game.

The Orioles trailed 21-17 at halftime, but rallied to send the game into overtime by outscoring the Tigers 25-21 in the second half.

Ludington outscored Grant 12-8 in overtime.

Noah Laman led Ludington with 13 points and Matthew Ritter and Chase Rohrer both scored 10 points.

Nick Brown led Grant with 21 points and Riley Foster had 12 rebounds.

“Every conference game has been tight for us this year,” Grant coach Josh Delamater said. “I knew we would have to battle every night and tonight was no different. Ludington is a good team that plays tough defense. We had to hit our free throws up there to beat them the first time. This game was close throughout. No one lead by more than six points and that didn’t come until Ludington jumped out ahead in overtime. “It came down to two plays defensively for us. We chose to gamble at the wrong time and Ludington found their open shooters. It was very reminiscent of Spring Lake game for us.”
