Muskegon Community College men dropped a nail biter against Ancilla College, 80-76. The Jayhawks trailed by just two points late but missed opportunities and Ancilla free throws closed out MCC.

Jake Anderson led the Jayhawk effort with 20 points, seven rebounds and four blocks. Two of Anderson’s blocks came back to back, one on an Ancilla dunk attempt.

Tyiwan Jones over came early foul trouble that put him on the sidelines for all but six minutes in the first half. Jones finished with 20 points.

The Jayhawks led through most of the first half, and were up by eight midway through. But an Ancilla run put MCC down by five at half.

MCC offense struggled from the floor with just 21.7 percent shooting while Ancilla shot a sizzling 53.3 percent.

Juwan Johnson led Ancilla with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
