The men’s basketball team of Muskegon Community College picked up a road win Saturday, downing Kellogg Community College 83-66.

The visiting Jayhawks took the lead mid way through the first half and never looked back, leading 39-26 at the break, and by as many as 17 points for much of the second half.

Lansing Eastern product Tyiwan Jones led MCC with 26 points, and added a nice alley hoop pass to Turaen Connor (Kenwood High School, Chi.) on a fast break for a dunk.

Marquise Hatter (West Ottawa High School) dropped 18 points for the Jayhawks, while Jake Anderson (Grant High School) scored 11 and Chase Casebolt (Montague High School) added 10 coming off the bench.
Kellogg was led by their two leading scorers, Nathan Taylor and Luke Heide, who both scored 19 points in the loss.
