Shelby overcame a slow start to top Hart 43-30 in WMC girls basketball action on Thursday. The Tigers crashed the boards to get 19 offensive rebounds on the night.

“We got off to a slow start but our pressure defense and our rebounding got us going,” said Shelby coach Sarah Wolting. “We crashed the boards hard tonight but still need to work on boxing out the taller girls.”

The Tigers led 11-8 after the first quarter and built a 29-12 halftime lead.

“It was a good last game for us. Everyone got to play and we did some really good things,” said Wolting.

Chloe Sillman paced Shelby with 13 points and Tristen Moore came up with 10 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. Hannah Robers had seven points, four steals and two assists and Jozilyn Kinster added two assists and two steals.
