Shelby earned a spot in the Class C district championship game with 63-44 win over Holton on Wednesday night at Hesperia High School.

The Tigers will face White Cloud in Friday’s title game at Hesperia at 7 p.m.

Shelby got off to a slow start and trailed 10-6 after one quarter.

The Tigers rallied in the second quarter and outscored the Red Devils 22-11 and took a 28-21 lead into halftime.

Shelby put the game away by outscoring Holton 35-23 in the second half.

Chloe Stillman led the Tigers with 20 points and Tristen Moore added 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Miranda Unger chipped in with 10 points for Shelby.

“After the first quarter my girls just played. We focused on our defense and executed on offense,” Shelby coach Sarah Wolting said. “We took care of the ball and we controlled the tempo of the game. Hopefully we stay intense and focused for Friday’s game.”
