Desi Parker leads Mona Shores to softball win over Grand Haven

Mona Shores beat Grand Haven 12-2 in a nonconference softball game behind a strong pitching performance by Desi Parker.

Parker tossed a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

The Sailors scored six runs in the second inning on a leadoff error, two walks, and a three-run triple by Parker.

Parker finished with two hits and Amanda Smith knocked in three runs for the Sailors.

Grand Haven (0-1) travels to Zeeland East on Wednesday.
