The Muskegon Community College softball team welcomed back decent weather Thursday with a doubleheader sweep of the Davenport University junior varsity team.

MCC won the first game 3-0. Jayhawk pitcher Megan Jean was the star, pitching a no-hitter with four strikeouts and a walk.

Alyson Behnke had an RBI single and Caten Teff added a solo home run for MCC.

The Jayhawk offense exploded in the second game, producing eight runs in the first three innings en route to an 11-3 win.

MCC’s Sarah Ferenz led the attack with two hits and four RBI, including a three-run homer in the third inning. Teff, Mary Guidice and Meghan Birr all had one RBI for the Jayhawks.
