Pitcher Megan Vander Wal tossed two complete game victories Saturday, helping the Muskegon Community College softball team to a doubleheader sweep of Ancilla College.

The sweep extended the Jayhawks’ winning streak to 11 games and left them with a perfect 9-0 record in Michigan Community College Athletic Association play.

The Jayhawks trailed 2-1 after six innings of the opener, then stole the win with a run in the seventh and three in the ninth.

Alyson Behnke had three hits, including a triple, and two RBI for MCC. Emily Peake added one hit and two RBI.

In the second game, the Jayhawks scored four runs in the sixth inning to break a scoreless tie and grab a 4-0 victory.

Vander Wal scattered four hits with one strikeout and no walks to grab her second win of the day.

Behnke, Peake and Megan Jean each knocked in a run for MCC.
