Mona Shores girls tennis fell to Holland West Ottawa on Monday, 7-1.

The Sailors fell in each of its singles matches. At No. 1 singles, Claire DeYoung fell 6-2, 6-1 to Kelly Burns. Sophie Gossett lost to Case Foster, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. The Sailors’ Madison Hronek lost 6-3, 6-2 to Susan Fender at No. 3 singles and Bella Purosky lost Bethany Paarlberg, 6-2, 6-1.

Emily Klemp and Erika Vanderlaan won the only match for Mona Shores at No. 1 doubles. The two topped Kelly Hayes and Leah Denbleyker, 6-1, 6-4.

Mona Shores’ Bri Holtrab and Kay Chandonnet lost 6-0, 6-0 to Makenna VanDyne and Emily Hofmeyer at No. 2 doubles. Caroline Schillaci and Alyssa Pyman lost to West Ottawa’s Hannah Karp and Lauren Kuiper in No. 3 doubles, 6-0, 6-2. Maddie Myhre and Marissa Duff fell in three games, 4-6, 6-0, and 6-2 in No. 4 doubles.
