SOCCER ROUNDUP 4/21: Spring Lake blanks Ludington; Fruitport, Orchard View win, Muskegon Catholic falls

Mariada Gezon and Saebryn Peel scored two goals each Monday to lead Spring Lake to a 6-0 Lakes 8 Conference girls soccer win over Ludington.

Nora Adkins and Kayla Krueger also scored for the Lakers.

Winning goalkeeper Anya Gordon made four saves.

Ludington goalie Amanda Payne stopped 13 shots.

Orchard View 8, Fremont 0: Melodie Glotzbach and Amanda Skidmore both scored two goals each to lead the Cardinals. Kaylee Harrell, Chelcie Macomber, Arianna Neer and Rachel Tabler also scored for the Cardinals. OV goalie Megan McFarland recorded the shutout with two saves. Fremont goalie Jessica Springstead made seven saves.

Fruiport 2, Tri-County 0: Haylie Hanks and Carly Kryfka scored goals for the Trojans. Kaylee Parisian and Emily Winki recorded assists for Fruitport.

Holland Black River 2, Muskegon Catholic 1: Black River’s Alicia Castorena scored a goal in each half. Natalie Bertolone scored MCC’s goal with an assist to Micaela Halloran. MCC was outshot 14-9 as goalkeeper Mackenzie Wozniak finished with 12 saves.
