The Whitehall Vikings girls soccer team compiled its third shutout in a row, helping the team to Friday’s 2-0 victory over Grand Rapids West Catholic.

“It was a win but our passing and combinations were sloppy,” said Whitehall head coach Dan Nichols. “The girls are yet to take over a game. They played well enough to win, but that cannot be good enough.”

Kelsey Gensler, assisted by Hanna Evans, netted the contest’s first goal just six minutes in to the match.

Evans put the finishing touches on the win with a second-half goal.

Viking keeper Sophia Stevens finished with five stops.
