Brody Vanderlinde gave up a run in the first inning then blanked Zeeland East the rest of the way, leading the Reeths-Puffer baseball team to a 2-1 victory over Zeeland East Friday in O-K Black Conference action.
The Rockets did not give up the lead after scoring in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Jacob Boes.
Joe Champoux led the Rockets offensively with four hits.
Despite taking the loss, Justin Palmbos pitched a strong seven innings for Zeeland East, striking out 11 and only walking one.
