Montague pitching holds on in baseball win over Grant

Montague pitching held on as the Wildcats beat Grant 7-5 in baseball on Thursday. Chris Carroll and Bryce Raeth shutout the Tigers in the final two innings.

The Wildcats (6-8) scored three runs in the fifth to take a 6-5 lead after giving up a 3-1 lead to start the innings. Grand held a 5-1 lead in the top of the fifth after it erupted with four runs.

Cameron Brayman led Montague with two hits and an RBI and Jacob Buchberger a double and a single with three RBI.

Carroll posted the win on the mound after he entered in the sixth to give up no hits. Bryce Raeth gave up no hits as well to come through with the save.
