Muskegon Catholic advances to Division 4 district soccer semifinals with win over Fruitport Calvary

Molly Conroy and Micaela Halloran each scored in the second half to lead Muskegon Catholic past visiting Fruitport Calvary Christian 4-2 in a Division 4 district soccer match on Tuesday.

Catholic Central hosts Montague in the district semifinals Thursday, after Montague defeated Hart 2-1 Tuesday.

After a 2-2 first half, Conroy scored off a rebound from Lauren Prince’s pass that bounced off Calvary Christian’s Maddie Flint and fell to Conroy.

Jessica Ladd scored two first-half goals for MCC, while Mackenzie Wozniak made three saves.

Natalie Bertolone, Ella Haldorsen and Prince each recorded an assist for MCC.

Calvary Christian’s Brianna Zehr scored two first-half goals, while Britney Zehr had two assists.

Maddie Flint made 19 saves for FCC.
