North Muskegon stuns No. 1 ranked Holton in semifinals before beating Western Michigan Christian for Division 4 softball district championship

North Muskegon stunned No. 1 ranled Holton in the semifinals and topped Western MIchigan Christian 10-0 in teh championship game to win the Division 4 softball district at Muskegon Catholic on Saturday.

North Muskegon advances to face Mason County Eastern in Division 4 regiona semifinals at Holton High School.

The Norse started the day against Holton in the semifinals and trailed 4-2 in the sixth inning before scoring five runs after two were out.

Katie Hendrickson two-run homer tied the game in sixth inning and the Norse went on to score three more runs.

Megan Massey and Morgan Nelson had two hits each for NM against Holton.

Rachel Younts had an RBI triple and scored a run for Holton and Jacki Stone had three hits.

In the champiosnhip game against WMC, Hendrickson hit a solo homer to open the game and NM went on to score five runs in the foruth inning and three more in sixth inning

Hendrickson fanned 14 and allowed three hits in title game.

The Warriors earned a berth in the final with a 13-8 win over Muskegon Catholic Central.
