Orchard View earns Division 3 district soccer win over Newaygo

Orchard View blanked Newaygo 3-0 in a Division 3 ditrict soccer game on Tuesday.

The win sends OV into the district semifinals on Thursday at 5 p.m. against Whitehall at Oakridge High School.

The Cardinals scored all three of their goals in the opening half.

Rachel Darwin, Kaylee Harrell and Brianna Wade scored goals for OV and Darwin, Alizaeh Davis and Harrell earned assists.

OV goalie Megan McFarland stopped four shots in earning the shutout.

Newaygo goalie Shelby Boyd made nine saves.
