The Mona Shores softball team was dominant Tuesday, claiming decisive 16-0 and 15-0 victories over Muskegon in O-K Black Conference action.

Pitcher Desi Parker got the win in both games for the Sailors, striking out a total of six. Saddie Vela had three hits and five RBIs in both games to lead the Sailors offensively.

Sarah Jones, Desi Parker, MacKenzie Willeke, and Kalya Savacool each had two hits for Mona Shores.

The Sailors are now 14-10 on the season and 5-3 in the O-K Black.

Holton 12-10  Big Rapids 2-0: In the early game, Holton pitcher Rachel Younts earned the win by throwing five innings while scattering three hits and striking out three. Younts also contributed offensively with a triple and a run scored. Dominique Waltz went 2-3 with a double and two RBIs.  Jacki Stone had two hits, three runs scored, and one RBI. In the later game, Younts earned her second win of the night by pitching five innings while scattering two hits and  striking out one.  Shelbey Younts had a double and three RBIs, Waltz added two hits and two RBIs while Ashley Friend had a hit and scored two runs. Holton improved to 16-4.

Fruitport 7  Ludington 6: Del Bennett led the Trojans to victory by pitching a complete game. She allowed eight hits and five walks while striking out six. Offensively Andrea Bennett led the Trojans with two doubles and a RBI. Bri Dawson had a hit and two RBIs while Kelsey Alviar added a triple and RBI.

Hesperia 11  Reed City 5: A six-run second inning led the Panthers over Reed City. Holly Whelan led the Panthers with four hits and four RBIs. Jorie Morton added two hits and three RBIs. Pitcher Sam Burdick earned the victory, striking out six. The Panthers improved to 10-9 overall and 7-3 in CSAA play.
