Western Michigan Christian advanced to the Division 4 district championship game with an 8-0 win over North Muskegon on Thursday.

The Warriors will take on Muskegon Catholic Saturday in the district title game.

Alexys Riksen scored four goals to lead WMC.

Alyssa Benedict added two goals for WMC (16-1-1) and Maria Michael. Jessica Kinnucan added single goals for WMC.

Benedict and Kaylee Collins added two assists each for WMC.

Lindsey Johnson, Rylee Stuk and Taylor Denison combined to make four saves for the Warriors.

“It was too bad NM had a red card and had to play a man down. They had a lot of passion and never quit, however,” said WMC coach David Hulings. “Our three forwards continue to play unselfish and share the ball. Our three backs continue to keep the opponent from have too many scoring chances. We look forward to playing MCC on Saturday. We have a lot of respect for them. We know it will be a tough game for us and we are looking to taking our game to another level.”
