Fruitport falls to Rockford in soccer, 2-0

The Fruitport soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Rockford Thursday in a non-league soccer match.

Rockford opened the scoring midway through the first half with a goal from Austin Garnsay. The Rams finished the scoring with 15 minutes left in the game on a goal by Tyler Pallerito.

Rockford outshot Fruitport 17-4. Eli Flores, Lucas Leslie and Nathan Sturtevant stood out defensively for the Sailors, who dropped to 2-2 on the season.
