The Shelby Tigers weren’t kind to their Oceana County rivals from Hart Friday night.

The Tigers won their second straight game with a convincing 57-0 win over the Pirates.

They started fast and led 21-0 after the first quarter.

Gavin Porter threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Chris Josephson for the game’s first score followed by rushing touchdowns by Jaime Ramierez and Juan Cavazos.

The Tigers wouldn’t let up in the second quarter either, outscoring Hart 15-0. Porter added another 36-yard pass to Josephson along with an 87-yard run for scores.

In the third quarter, Cavazos scored on a 30-yard run which was followed up touchdown fumble recovery by Zack Stuberg.

Shelby (2-3) added a fourth-quarter score from Diego Galacia on a 75-yard touchdown run.

Porter was five-for-five with 151-yards passing along with two touchdowns. Cavazos added 105 yards on the ground and a score.

The Tigers were led in receiving by Casey DeWitt, who had two catches for 71 yards, and Josephson who caught two passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns.

Shelby was led in tackles by Chris Whitlow with 16, Cavazos with 10, DeWitt eight and Stuberg seven.

Hart drops to 1-4 on the year.
