Spring Lake’s volleyball team visited Wyoming and took home a non-conference win in four sets. The Lakers dropped the opening set 23-25, but answered with three straight wins of 25-8, 25-18, 25-19.

Emma Suchecki led the Lakers (12-6, 2-0) in digs with 18 and had seven aces. Abby Moe put up 38 assists in the setting position and had five kills. Kelsee Zuidema paced the team in kills with 25, and also had five digs and a block.

“We struggled a bit in the first set and could not finish the game,” said Spring Lake coach Anita Perkins. “We took charge of the second set dominating at the net. We served though which caused Wyoming to send over free balls.”

Also coming through with key hits were Gabriella LeRoux with four aces and six digs, Allison Pennington with two aces and seven digs, and Ellen Lauiger with eight digs.
