Dylan Mines gave WMC a 1-0 lead after Eric Bourdo served up a corner kick. Two minutes later Mines set up Eli Vandervelde for a goal and a 2-0 advantage. Barely 60 seconds later Matt Vanderploeg scored on a header from the 18 yard line off a Bourdo corner kick.

After a Godfrey goal, Ben Mast gave WMC a 4-1 lead off a Tyler Cook assist just before halftime.

The second half saw an even paced game by WMC as Mines added another goal at the six minute mark.

“The second half was not as goal oriented,” said WMC coach David Hulings. “We made some adjustments to how we defended and our three backs (Cook, Bourdo and Jacob Ray) did a great job in shutting down some very speedy forwards.”
