Keenan Aylor had a big fourth quarter for Whitehall as he took a punt return 85 yards into the end zone to help the Vikings cruise past the Grant Tigers, 30-14 and finish their season 7-2.

Whitehall struck first as Trip Thommen ran 13 yards into the end zone in the first quarter. A 31-yard field goal attempt by Windsor Marecek split the uprights to give the Vikings a 14-0 lead going into half.

After a scoreless third quarter from the Vikings and a Grant touchdown, the lead grew thin for Whitehall.

Aylor changed that quickly with two scores in the fourth quarter. The first was the punt return and his second touchdown came from 11 yards out.

Nolan Throne sealed it for Whitehall with a four-yard touchdown run to give the Vikings their seventh win.

Whitehall’s stat leaders were Thommen, who lead the team in rushing with 24 carries and 152 yards, along with seven tackles on defense. Zarren Aylor rushed for 82 yards on 17 carries.

The Vikings improve to 7-2 overall, 5-2 in conference play and look ahead to the playoffs.
