The Western Michigan Christian volleyball team swept past Muskegon Heights Academy Thursday 3-0 to earn a berth in Friday’s Class C district finals against Ravenna.

WMC won by scores of 25-4, 25-12 and 25-7.

Miranda Shafer led the way for WMC with 14 aces, three kills and 14 assists. Bronte Michura provided three aces, eight kills, a block and a dig. Cassie Kingma and Jessica Eekhoff each had three kills while Melanie Weesies served up four aces.

Ravenna 3, North Muskegon 0 – The Bulldogs advanced to Friday’s district final by beating the Norsemen 25-13, 25-12, 25-13. Dana Kass had three aces, 12 kills and 15 digs to lead Ravenna. Lindsey Jacobs helped with 12 assists. Audrey Hanson  served three aces and had 15 digs and Erica Adams chipped in with nine kills.
