The Fruitport Calvary Christian volleyball team got its postseason off to a dominant start Tuesday with a 3-0 victory over West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science  in Class D district action.

The Eagles won by scores of 25-8, 25-6, and 25-12.

Elise Maine had six aces while Britney Zehr also added four aces for the Eagles. Taylor Richards had six kills and Lauren Hutchinson had four. Audrey Vereeke added six assists for the Eagles, who will host the district final Friday against Muskegon Catholic.

Class D at Fruitport Calvary Christian

Muskegon Catholic 3, Kent City Algoma Christian 0 – The Crusaders won 25-14, 25-11, and 25-12. Annika Tyler had two aces, 11 kills and 15 digs for the Crusaders. Zhane Harris added 18 kills and Zoie Price had 13 digs. The Crusaders advance to play Fruitport Calvary Christian in the district final Friday night.

Class D at Brethren

Mason County Eastern 3, Walkerville 1 – The Wildcats’ season came to an end Tuesday night with a district loss to Mason County Eastern.
