CSAA girls basketball roundup: Holton wins, Newaygo falls in crossover games

The undefeated Holton Red Devils (4-0) jumped out to a 14-4 lead after one quarter and never looked back in a 42-33 victory over the Grant Tigers.

Courtney Slater had 12 points and seven rebounds for Holton while Rachel Younts added 12 points and five steals. Jacki Stone contributed eight rebounds and five assists.

Lakeview 40 Newaygo 29 – Madi Giese and Carli Arends each had six points and five rebounds on the night for the Lions. The Lions are now 1-3 on the year and 0-1 in conference play.
