Holton wrestlers perform well in two team duals Saturday, but lose both due to forfeits

The Holton wrestling team dropped a pair of matches Saturday, to Ludington 36-30 and Mason County Central 60-15

Winners for the Red Devils against Ludington were Brendan Cregg (125), Jordan Whitener (135), Cameron Whitener (140), Hayden Cregg (145), and Cameron Andrews (171).

Ludington took advantage of forfeits to gain its margin of victory. Oriole winners were Martin Torres (119),  Keenan Hays (152), Lucas Catron (160), Logan Sorenson (189), Chase Ray (215), and Griffin Ray (285).

The Red Devils had a more difficult time against host Mason County Central, but still got wins from Brendan Cregg (125), Jordan Whitener (130) and Hayden Cregg (145).

Mason County Central match winners were Caleb Wood (140) and Spencer Knizacki (160).

Winning by forfeit for the Spartans were Alec Trent (112), Jacob Shoop (135), Cody Cooper (152), Jordan Steiger (171), Jarod Alvesteffer (189), Josh Quinn (215) and Matt Quinn (285).
