The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team shook off the rust after a long layoff and downed the Grace Bible JV squad 84-57 in a non-league game Friday.

Marcus Tumblin scored a game high 20 points for the Jayhawks. Eddie Tornes dropped 18 points and Will Roberson added 16.

“It was nice to see our guys come and get the victory,” said MCC Coach Dave Schlump. “We didn’t play as well as I would have liked to see us play, but it’s nice to get back into the flow of playing a game again.”

MCC will have two more games before Christmas break, both at home, Dec. 20 against Henry Ford Community College and Dec. 23 against Delta Community College. Both games start at 3 p.m.
