Christian Martinez scored eight points in the fourth quarter to help lift the Muskegon Catholic boys basketball team to an exciting 55-53 victory over Tri-Unity Friday in non-league action.

The Crusaders remain unbeaten with a 3-0 record on the season.

The game was tight from start to finish with the Crusaders clinging to one point leads at halftime and at the end of the third quarter.

Tri-Unity had a chance to shoot for the tying or go-ahead basket in the final seconds, but turned the ball over on a traveling call.

Martinez finished with 14 points while Nate Jones had seven rebounds for MCC.
