The Oakridge Eagles outscored the Whitehall Vikings 23-8 in the second quarter to overcome a 19-14 first quarter deficit and grab a 65-51 Friday night in a West Michigan conference game.

James Cooper III led the Eagles with 17 points and six rebounds while Caleb Cook added 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Eagles are now 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in league play.

 Johnson and C.J. Watson with 13 points apiece.

Mason County Central 62, Ravenna 37 – The Spartans (2-0, 1-0) jumped out to a 17-10 lead after the first quarter and a 35-23 lead at the half. Sean Kelley led the Spartans with 20 points and eight rebounds while Nate Strejcek had 10 points and 13 rebounds. The Bulldogs (0-1, 0-1) were led by Connor Beahan with 15 points and eight rebounds.

North Muskegon 42, Hart 28 – North Muskegon (1-1, 1-0) was able to stretch its lead to fourteen points in the second quarter and never looked back. Vernonell Smith paced the Norse with 12 points, seven rebounds, and five steals. Dylan Vanderzwaag had 10 points for Hart, which  fell to 0-2 on the season and 0-1 in the conference.

Shelby 65, Montague 39  – The Tigers (2-0, 1-0) secured the league victory by outscoring Montague 31-16 in the second half. Caleb Anderson had 28 points for Shelby while Danny Beckman added 15. Montague (1-1, 0-1) was led by Jacob Buchberger’s 15 points.
