Muskegon Heights Academy ‘s offense came to life on Tuesday night in a 90-48 victory over Kalamazoo Phoenix.

Muskegon Heights raced to a 30-8 lead after one quarter and increased it to 54-19 by halftime.

Anthony Jones led Muskegon Heights with 15 points, followed by Antwone Jones with 14 points, Therrius Flowers with 12, Keyandre Collins with 11 and Ontario Porchia with 10.

Holland West Ottawa 56Mona Shores 43 – Houston Bedford (14 points) and the West Ottawa Panthers proved to be too much for the Sailors, who trailed 35-22 at halftime. Darece Roberson paced visiting Mona Shores with 14 points whileTyler LeMense scored 10.

North Muskegon 61, Holton 42 – North Muskegon raised its record to 2-4 with a nonleague victory over the Holton Red Devils. NM led 37-18 at the half and cruised to the victory. Erik Bleakley led the Norsemen with 13 points, followed by Riley Fairfield with 11. Ben Gautraud finished with four steals and four assists. Aaron Poling led Holton with 15 points.

Hesperia 69, Ravenna 63 – A balanced scoring attack carried the Panthers to a nonleague boys basketball victory over the Ravenna Bulldogs. Jake Palmer led the way with 22 points, followed by Traxton Gordon with 18 points, Joe Allen with 12 points and 10 rebounds and Nate McKeown with 10 points.

Coopersville 61, Orchard View 17Will Burrel and Bob Clanton each had four points for Orchard View. The Cardinals now drop to 1-4 on the season and remain 0-1 in conference play.

Montague 48, Fruitport 32 – The Wildcats led 26-17 at the half and 35-26 after the third quarter. Josh Weesies led the Wildcats with 13 points and 11 rebounds while Jacob Buchberger had 11 points.  Nick Kramer led the Trojans with eight points.

Newaygo 63, Central Montcalm 48 – Jack Boyd scored 16 points to lead the Lions to the victory over Central Montcalm. Cole Chelsea added 13 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Ben Wolford added 11 points, six rebounds and five steals.

Grant 61Reed City 47 – The Grant Tigers were led by Chad McCracken with 17 points. Mason Powell added16 points, nine rebounds and three blocks while Riley Patterson had 11 points, six rebounds and five steals. Mykel Dillard led Reed City with 15 points and Andre Jones added 12 points.

West Michigan Aviation Academy 38 Fruitport Calvary Christian 36 – A rough shooting night cost the Fruitport Calvary Christian Eagles in a narrow loss. The game still came down to the final seconds. West Michigan Aviation Academy missed key free throws down the stretch and the Eagles had a chance to win with 2.1 seconds left. The Eagles inbounded after a timeout just had a good look with a shot that didn’t fall. Will Dukes led the Eagles with 15 points while Brendan Hamilton had 12 points. The Eagles fall to 3-5 on the season, 1-2 in the Alliance League.
