Reeths-Puffer couldn’t withstand a 2-0 second period deficit in its 5-3 loss to Grand Rapids Catholic Central in hockey on Wednesday.
The Rockets fell behind early in the second period but responded with a Derek Mines goal to make the score 2-1.

Derreck Pleimling’s cross pass set up Mines on the one-timer slap shot that hit off the cross bar, off GRCC goaltender Thomas Murray, and in for the goal.
Mines added a second goal in the third period as did Brandon Young for Reeths-Puffer.
