Emily MacArthur eclipses 1,000-point career mark as Whitehall girls down Muskegon Catholic 40-33

The Whitehall girls basketball team outscored Muskegon Catholic by 11 points in the second and third quarters en route to a 40-33 non-league victory on Tuesday.

Whitehall senior Emily MacArthur led the Vikings with 17 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. She also became the third girls basketball player in school history to eclipse the 1,000-point career mark.

Payton Bearup added 12 points for Whitehall, Melissa Shoup had eight rebounds while Robin Gould contributed five rebounds and two steals.

Zhane Harris led Muskegon Catholic with 12 points.
