The Ludington boys basketball team blew a big halftime lead, then outscored Mason County Central in overtime to pull out a 53-49 victory Saturday in non-league action.

The Orioles led 32-20 at halftime, but the Spartans outscored them 16-3 in the third quarter to take a 36-35 lead at the third buzzer.

The teams were tied 46-46 at the end of regulation, then the Orioles clinched the win with a 7-3 edge in the extra period.

Cameron Banstra paced the Orioles with 17 points while Noah Laman had 14 points, including nine of his team’s 11 points in the fourth quarter.

Johnny Schafer led Mason County Central with 12 points.
