The Montague girls basketball team used a 13-point second-quarter edge to gain a 41-34 victory over North Muskegon Tuesday in West Michigan Conference action.

The Wildcats improved their record to 5-3 overall and 4-2 in league play. They also matched their win total from last season.

Chase Jancek led a balanced Wildcat attack with 11 points while Emma Rupert grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds.

Olivia Duncan had 13 points while Mia Duncan added 11 for North Muskegon (1-5, 1-4)

Oakridge 63, Ravenna 22 –  The Eagles (7-3, 6-0) kept their league record perfect by holding Ravenna to eight points in the first half, then pulling away with a 15-4 advantage in the third quarter. Hannah Reinhold paced Oakridge with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Megan Larabee added 12 points and six assists whileShelbe Wilde chipped in six steals. Melissa McWatters led Ravenna with 11 points.

Shelby 51, Mason County Central 43 – The Tigers built a 44-25 lead after three quarters in a league victory over the Spartans. Chloe Sillman led the Tigers with 10 points, followed by Brooke James with nine, Jenny Beckman with eight and Deanna Gray with seven. Kylie Mount led Mason County Central with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Dria Striker added 12 points.

Hart 50 Whitehall 41 – Jenny Herrygers scored 13 points and led the Hart Pirates over the Whitehall Vikings in a WMC game on Tuesday night. Yasmine Colon added nine points for Hart. Emily McArthur led Whitehall with 19 points and Rebekah Beeghy added nine. Hart is 4-5 overall, 4-3 in the league. Whitehall dropped to 1-8, 1-4 in the WMC.
