West Michigan Conference boys hoops 1/6: Oakridge remains undefeated, Montague and Mason County Central win

The Oakridge boys basketball team remained undefeated with a lopsided 69-39 victory over the Hart Pirates Tuesday.

The Eagles led by just two – 28-26 – at the half then pulled away with a big second half.

James Cooper lll led the Eagles with 11 points. Brady Luttrull, Nate Wahr, and Kaleb Cook each added nine points.

Montague 71, Ravenna 49 – The host Wildcats outscored the Bulldogs 42-16 in the middle two quarters to take control of the league contest. Josh Weesies led Montague (3-1, 2-1 WMC) with 22 points and nine rebounds. Jacob Buchberger added 13 points, five assists and four steals. Hamann Merritt had a strong game inside with 15 rebounds.

Mason County Central 57, North Muskegon 41 – The host Spartans broke out offensively and captured a league victory over the Norsemen. Mitch Lange scored 15 points while Drew Griffis added 12 and Johnny Shafer had 10. Coltyn Tindall finished with 11 rebounds for the Spartans. North Muskegon was led by Erick Bleakley with 11 points and six rebounds and Mitch Edick with 10 points. MCC shot 11-for-15 from the line.
