WMC girls basketball team hangs with Covenant Christian for three quarters, then loses 61-40

The Western Michigan Christian girls basketball team fell victim to a bad fourth quarter and dropped a 61-40 decision to Grand Rapids Covenant Christian Thursday in a River Valley Conference tilt.

Covenant led 40-32 after three quarters, then put the game away with a 21-8 edge in the fourth.

Madalyn Muelenberg scored a game high 22 points for Covenant Christian. Cassie Kingma led WMC with 12 points.
