The Muskegon girls basketball team is ready for a rematch with Mona Shores.

The Big Reds lost to the Sailors in overtime a few weeks ago, but earned a chance to play them again Friday in the Class A district finals by beating Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills 56-32 on Wednesday.

Muskegon led 12-6 after one quarter and 30-13 at halftime.

Shawnteanna Dame led Muskegon with 14 points while Mardrekia Cook had 11 points and Tierra Williams eight. Cook also grabbed 10 rebounds while Williams had eight.

(at Oakridge)

Spring Lake 53, Coopersville 34 – The Lakers move on to the Class B district finals with balanced scoring.  Reiko Johnson led the Lakers with 11 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals.

(at Newaygo)

Fremont 27, Grant 21 – The Packers brought down the Tigers in a low-scoring affair, holding them under 10 total points through three quarters. Lexie Bradley led Fremont with nine points. Fremont will face Sparta in the district finals on Friday.

(at Ludington)

Ludington 54, Kingsley 36 – The Orioles led 29-19 at halftime and forced 30 Kingsley turnovers on the night. Kristen Reidenbach put up 10 points, seven rebounds and four steals while Ali Plamondon tallied nine points, 10 rebounds, four steals and four assists for Ludington. The Orioles will play Manistee in the finals on Friday.

(at West Michigan Christian)

Kent City 59, North Muskegon 33 – The Eagles scored 24 second quarter points after being tied 13-13 after the first quarter. Kaitlyn Geers led the Eagles with 14 points. The Eagles will face Holland Black River in the district finals on Friday.

Holland Black River 53, West Michigan Christian 49Alyssa Wright led the Warriors with 16 points in a losing effort. Holland Black River will play Kent City in the finals on Friday.

Class C
(at Shelby)

Holton 51, Hesperia 21 – The Red Devils held Hesperia to single digits in all four quarters and had nine different players score in the win. Rachel Younts and Katie Wildfong led Holton with 14 points apiece. Mariah Still paced Hesperia with 11 points.

Shelby 45, Montague 41 – The Tigers closed the game with an 11-6 fourth quarter run to seal the victory.  Jenny Beckman led Shelby with 10 points while Chloe Sillman had nine points and 10 rebounds. Emma Flagstead led the Wildcats with 17 points. Shelby will face Holton in the district finals on Friday night.

(at Fruitport Calvary Christian)

Muskegon Catholic Central 50, Ellington Academy of Arts 33 –  The Crusaders will face Fruitport Calvary Christian in the district finals on  Friday night. Fruitport Calvary Christian advanced after Kent City Algoma Christian forfeited the semifinal game.
