The Jayhawks came out on top 5-0 in Game 1, but dropped the nightcap 5-3 in eight innings.
Kyle Vedrode tossed a three-hit shutout in the opener and struck out seven. Adrian Anderson, Reid Beffrey and Chad McClintock each had two hits for MCC.
In the Game 2 loss, Luke Bunting kept the Jayhawks alive with two outs in the bottom of the seventh on a two-run single. Beffrey finished with a pair of hits to lead MCC at the plate.
The Jayhawks (9-7) enter league action this weekend at Henry Ford Community College.
