The Muskegon Community College softball team outhit Jackson College on Friday, but still came out on the short end of an 8-7 decision.
Jackson College took control of the contest by scoring five runs in the bottom if the first inning.
The Jayhawks outhit their hosts 14-9 in the loss. Megan Jean had a big day at the plate for MCC, doubling in the third inning and and tripling in the second and sixth.
