Prep soccer roundup 3/24: Fruitport Calvary Christian gets a victory while Grand Haven and Reeths-Puffer fall

The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls soccer team posted a 7-0 shutout against Mason County Eastern on Tuesday night.

The Eagles scored six of their seven goals in the first half.

Madison Heiss and Riley Payton each scored two goals for Calvary Christian while Emily Turbett and Britney Zehr each had a goal and an assist.

Hudsonville Unity Christian 4, Grand Haven 0 – The Buccaneers (0-2) were unable to overcome a dominant effort from Unity Christian on Tuesday. Grand Haven goalkeeper Alyson Donselar hung tough against a barrage of shots, stopping 14 of 18 .

West Ottawa 4, Reeths-Puffer 0 – The Rockets (0-1) opened up their season with a loss, giving up two goals in each half.
