The Western Michigan Christian baseball team swept a doubleheader Tuesday over Holland Calvary, 3-2 and 4-3.

WMC pitcher Coleman Brott was outstanding in the opener, giving up only two hits to collect the win.

Matt VanderPloeg provided the offensive spark, collecting three hits, including a triple, and knocking in three runs. Brott, Eric Bourdo, Jared Varnado and Brandon Butrick also had hits for the Warriors.

VanderPloeg pitched three innings with six strikeouts in the nightcap. Bourdo and Cam Waller each provided an inning of solid relief to nail down the win.

Cam Waller and Logan Waller each had two hits for WMC in the five-inning victory.
