The Norse lost the opener 12-7 but rebounded in the nightcap 9-1.

In the opener, North Muskegon jumped out to a 2-0 first-inning lead, but the Spartans used a five-run third inning to take control of the game.

Conner Gannon had a single, a double and three runs while Riley Draper and Brighton Schofield each had two singles for the Norse. Schofield added two RBIs.

In  Game 2, pitchers Erick Bleakley and Schofield combined on an eight-hit, 10-strikeout performance for North Muskegon.

Ben Gautraud led the Norse offensively with a 3-for-3 performance, including a double and a solo home run. He also scored four runs. Conner Gannon added three singles and Ben Garcia had two. Joel Hardy added a double.

Bleakley, who struck out six over five innings on the mound, picked up the win for the Norse (9-10, 3-5).
