Indians 8, Tigers 2 – The Tigers’ winning streak ended at three games after Wednesday afternoon’s loss to the Cleveland Indians.
J.D. Martinez accounted for the Tigers’ only runs with a two-run home run in the seventh inning.
Detroit starting pitcher Buck Farmer suffered the loss, allowing five runs on eight hits in five and one-third innings.
Farmer started for Justin Verlander, who was scratched due to back issues.
Detroit will start a 10-game home stand Thursday afternoon against the Chicago White Sox.
