Tigers 6, Cubs 0 – The Tigers won their third straight game, defeating the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night.
Detroit starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez picked up the win, pitching seven and two-thirds inning of scoreless baseball, allowing six hits while striking out seven batters.
Nick Castellanos and Ian Kinsler had two RBIs apiece.
The Tigers will look to sweep the Cubs in the finale of the short two-game series on Wednesday night in Detroit.

Red Wings name Blashill head coach
The Detroit Red Wings named Jeff Blashill as the 27th coach in franchise history on Tuesday. Blashill, who is the first American born Red Wings coach, last coached the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.
He led the Griffins to the 2013 Calder Cup championship and led the Indiana Ice of the USHL to a 2009 Clark Cup championship.
